Who this notice covers
This notice describes information handled when you read or search E-Day Wiki, or contact its operator. The wiki is an independent fan project. Microsoft, Xbox, and The Coalition do not operate this site.
You can read every article without creating an account. This version of the wiki has no registration, public comments, contribution forms, subscriptions, or checkout. Information you choose to send by email is handled separately from ordinary browsing.
What happens when you visit
- Page requests
- The server processes connection and request information, such as an IP address, the requested URL, and browser headers, to return the page. The wiki’s application backend does not keep visitor access logs.
- Wiki searches
- Quick-search suggestions are matched in your browser. Opening the full search page sends the query in the page URL to our server. That URL can remain in your browser history. The application does not save a search history or attach searches to a user account.
- Your messages
- If you email us, we receive your email address, the name you provide, and your message or attachments. Include only information relevant to the correction, question, or request you want us to handle.
Avoid putting private information into a wiki search. Searching for a character, weapon, or game mode never requires an email address, password, or account identifier.
Hosting & service providers
Hyrton provides the VPS that hosts this wiki. Connection information passes through hosting and network infrastructure to reach the server and deliver pages and search results. Provider-level network and security processing is separate from the application’s access-log settings; the absence of backend access logs does not establish that the VPS provider keeps no records.
Email providers process the messages you send and our replies. We use correspondence to answer your question, check a reported problem, or deal with a rights concern. Information may also need to be disclosed when required by applicable law or to address a specific security or legal issue. The wiki application has no advertising profiles, data-sale integration, or automated decisions about individual readers.
External websites have their own privacy practices. A link to an Xbox announcement or a video does not extend this notice to that website. Review its notice if you choose to visit it or use its services.
How long information is kept
We do not retain visitor access logs in the application backend, account profiles, or a history of your searches. Browser history and cached files remain under your browser’s controls.
The server’s service manager may keep operational messages, such as startup notices or error diagnostics, under its own retention settings. These are separate from visitor access logs. Records maintained by the hosting provider are subject to that provider’s practices.
We keep correspondence for handling your enquiry and relevant follow-up. A message may need to be kept longer where an unresolved security or rights dispute, or a legal record-keeping obligation, requires it. You can contact us about information you have sent and request deletion where applicable.
Your choices & requests
You can use your browser’s controls to clear saved history and cached files. You can also choose not to follow external links or send us personal information. Reading the wiki does not require a marketing sign-up.
Depending on the law that applies, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of personal information, or to object to certain processing. Contact us to explain what you are requesting. We may need limited additional information to verify the request and locate any relevant records.
These rights can have legal exceptions, and we cannot retrieve information that the site has not retained or remove history from your own device. Where applicable, you may also raise a concern with your local data protection authority.
Changes to this notice
Changes to how the site handles information will be reflected here, with an updated date. Accounts, contributions, analytics, or advertising would require this notice and any applicable privacy controls to be reviewed before those features are introduced. See our Terms of Use for the rules covering the wiki’s content and access.
