One absence, two grieving soldiers

His death precedes the end of the Pendulum Wars.
- Dom
Carlos's younger brother
He and Marcus carry the grief into the new war.
Why Carlos matters to E-Day
The Coalition drew on Karen Traviss's Aspho Fields for this history and consulted with her during development. The campaign opens around an armistice memorial in Kalona, where Marcus and Dom have returned from war. Their grief belongs to the premise, before the Locust attack.[1]
Follow the two sides of that relationship in Marcus's entry and Dom's entry. The Pendulum Wars timeline explains how little peace separates the wars.
