A veteran pulled back into war
Mags has already fought in the Pendulum Wars. The June developer podcast describes her as the squad member who has seen the most battle. She is from Kalona and has returned to civilian work at its Imulsion refineries.[3]
When Wretches break through the road, she and the other future members of Bravo run toward the attack while civilians flee. Their first shared decision precedes their formal introduction as a squad.[2]
Mags and Lucas: opposite starting points
In the City Hall registration scene shown in the August preview, neither Mags nor Lucas gives a next of kin. The scene establishes a connection between them without spelling out their whole past.[4]
The Lucas Reyes entry follows the rookie's side of that contrast. Use the Bravo Squad overview to compare all four members.
Can you play as Mags?
Is Mags a playable campaign character?
Yes, in campaign co-op from the beginning. The four-person roster supports four players online; console split-screen supports two.[1][2]
Single-player follows Marcus, with the other Bravo members controlled by AI. The August hands-on showed AI squadmates responding to flanks and reviving the player.[4]
Campaign character selection and Horde's four classes are separate systems. Choose your campaign character in co-op; read the Horde guide for class abilities and progression.[2][5]
