The release is part of the shot
Chaps' July preview explicitly contrasts Torque Bow's release-to-fire with Striga's automatic discharge after charging. Treat that trigger comparison as preview evidence.[2]
- 01
Hold
Hold the charging input.
- 02
Aim
Keep the target lined up during the charge.
- 03
Release
Release the input to fire the bow.
Practice this rhythm against the same stationary target before trying a moving one. Choose a firing position with nearby cover so you can reset your aim without turning every missed shot into an exposed reload.
The card changes the job
| Card | Shown behavior |
|---|---|
| Mobile Targeting Laser | Charging laser remains visible. |
| Stake Bolts | Removes explosions; favors critical damage, charge speed and ammo capacity. |

If you change bolt type, test a body shot and a carefully aimed critical shot separately. Do not judge the change only by whether one enemy dies: difficulty, enemy condition and your other upgrades can obscure the tradeoff.
A short comparison you can repeat
| Keep fixed | Change one thing | Record |
|---|---|---|
| Difficulty, target, distance and aim point | Bolt card; then laser card | Hit location, follow-up shot and whether the charge is easy to read |
Use the campaign loadout guide for mod and mode boundaries. For a separately documented explosive interaction, see Bilefrog; this weapon page does not establish Torque Bow compatibility with its achievement.
