Reload enough for the next shot
- Start
Load a round
The Breechshot uses round-by-round Active Reload.
- Pressure
Interrupt and fire
Insert one or two rounds, then return to the fight.
- Breathing room
Keep loading
Continue the reload when you have time to replenish ammunition.
A partial reload can buy the next shot without committing to the entire cycle. Watch both the ammunition count and the enemy's approach; a full magazine is less useful if the reload leaves you exposed.
The rifle has an axe
The official multiplayer image above shows the Breechshot's axe execution. The Coalition specifically confirms axe-based finishers alongside the PvP headshot kill.[1][2]
The axe offers a reason to recognize the whole weapon, rather than treating every rifle as interchangeable. An execution opportunity and a distant shot demand different positioning; choose the attack that fits the space around you.
Breechshot and Longshot
E-Day's projectiles have travel time and aiming allows shoulder swapping. Read Longshot's aiming section for the shared ballistics considerations, or Combat Basics for reload and movement controls.[2]
Headshot rule and mode boundaries
Does the announced headshot kill apply to every Horde enemy?
The Coalition's one-shot headshot statement is specifically for PvP. It does not establish a universal one-shot rule for Horde enemies, difficulties or bosses.[2]
Versus disables weapon mods. In Horde, class progression and Weapon Parts support upgrades, so PvE build choices operate under different conditions.[1]
