The transport can stay and fight
| Behavior | What changes in the encounter |
|---|---|
| Deploys Drones | New infantry joins the fight around the transport. |
| Remains on the ground | The Reaver becomes a heavily armed walking tank. |
| Clings to a high wall | Fire comes from above your previous cover angle. |
The Coalition describes all three behaviors. Do not assume the creature will leave after dropping troops: its own attacks can remain part of the encounter.[1]
Reassess cover when it climbs
A wall that protected you from ground-level fire may leave you visible from an elevated angle. When the Reaver changes height, look for cover that also protects the upper approach. Keep track of the newly deployed Drones while you reposition.
- Locate the Reaver's current position, including high walls.
- Identify where the dropped infantry is moving.
- Choose cover that answers both firing angles before settling into a long exchange.[1]
Reaver or Seeder?
| Creature | Distinctive confirmed mechanic |
|---|---|
| Reaver | Deploys infantry and can occupy an elevated firing position. |
| Seeder | Must be drawn from its hole to expose a vulnerable head. |
Use Seeder's weak-point sequence for that mini-boss. The Drone guide covers the infantry a Reaver can deploy.
