E-Day supports multiplayer across Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC and Steam. Steam's optional account linking enables roaming saves and cross-platform invitations. Xbox Play Anywhere covers purchase rights and progress inside the Xbox ecosystem.

Does an Xbox purchase also give me the Steam version?

No. Xbox Play Anywhere applies to eligible Xbox and Windows Store purchases. Steam is a separate store license even when the game supports crossplay and linked saves.[3][4]

The launch Steam listing confirms that linking enables cross-platform invites and roaming saves. The steps above are the official beta instructions; button locations may change in the launch client.[1][5]

Make sure every squad member's edition is unlocked: Standard and unupgraded Game Pass access starts October 6.
Xbox console players need a subscription that includes online multiplayer.
Once linked, use the game's Social controls to invite the account your friend is playing on.[1][2][6]

Continue the same game on Xbox and PC

For an Xbox Play Anywhere digital purchase, sign into the same Microsoft account on console and Xbox on PC. The game appears in My Games and Apps on Xbox or My Library in the PC app. Xbox's service carries saves, add-ons and achievements across supported devices.[3]

Xbox Play Anywhere allows one active game session per account at a time. For a co-op squad, each player needs their own access rather than using one account simultaneously on multiple devices.[3]

Do Steam achievements become Xbox achievements automatically?

The launch Steam description promises roaming saves through linking, but does not spell out every achievement or purchased-currency transfer rule. Xbox Play Anywhere's shared achievement guarantee applies inside its Xbox console-and-PC ecosystem.[1][3]

A connection problem is different from an account-link problem. Check Gears service status and use Launch Troubleshooting before changing network settings.[6][7]
