The danger keeps following

Nicole Fawcette told Polygon that its spores pursue you until shot down. The September developer reveal describes a fleshy creature inspired by the Gas Barge in Gears of War 2.[1]

A practical attention loop · editorial advice
  1. READ

    Find the airborne threat

Look above the ground fight. Avoid letting the creature leave your view while you focus on infantry.

  2. REACT

    Check incoming spores

When projectiles approach, move your aim to the immediate threat. A new firing position is useful only if you can see what follows you.

  3. RESET

    Return to the fight

After clearing your approach, reassess the creature, nearby enemies and your ammunition before committing to another burst.

Recognize the creature before picking a target

Compare the official reveal image with your encounter. Use its silhouette to locate the airborne body, then scan around it for approaching projectiles. This attention loop is advice based on the published mechanic; it is not a measured damage or weak-point test.

For another aerial threat, read Reaver. Use the Locust field guide when several enemy types share the encounter.

What this guide establishes

The developer interview establishes the projectile behavior. Exact health, damage, ammunition breakpoints and release tuning require additional combat tests; this page does not assign numbers to them.
